November Alcohol Ink Tween/Teen Class Series
November 14th, 21st, and 28th
Send your teen/tween to come and hang out and meet new friends while having a great ART experience! Developed for kids ages 10 and up, the Alcohol Ink class sessions allow the older kids to learn, experiment, and trust their inner artistic voice. Sharing their time with others while developing art and being creative allows tweens and teens the opportunity to dream, create, and explore together. No previous art skills are needed!

The class will begin at 6:30 p.m, but the studio will be open at 6:00 p.m. and welcomes anyone who would like to pack/bring dinner to sit and eat in the studio. Sign up with a friend!

This is a series of 3 alcohol ink classes in November. Each one builds upon the one before it. It is best to sign up for at least one of the first two classes if you'd like to have your student attend the third class which also involves FIRE, but not mandatory. Each class is $30. Take 2 for $55, or take all 3 for $75. Sign up at the bottom of this page and you can specify which dates you'd like. We follow up with an emailed invoice link.

Alcohol Ink Intro:

This class will introduce tweens/teens to alcohol inks and let them try a few different techniques. Alcohol ink art is an incredibly fun and absolutely vibrant art form in which anyone can get involved, no matter their previous art experience. After demonstrations and tips for working with the medium, the students will have the chance to work with the dyes on smooth paper and glass and make something BEAUTIFUL for themselves. Alcohol ink is an amazing medium! Concentrated pigments are mixed with rubbing alcohol to water them down, and must be used on a smooth surface like yupo paper, acrylic, or other glass surfaces. The artist doesn't have full control over what the ink will do, where it will go, or how it will mix, but that’s actually the beauty of it. All materials included! Alcohol Ink and Succulents:

Alcohol inks work best on hard, non-porous surfaces. Our group of teens/tweens will learn how to use the negative space on an object to their advantage and add just enough color to make it beautiful! This class will cover how to use alcohol ink on a ceramic or glass pot and also includes planting a succulent in the pot and creating a boho-style hanging plant to take home. All materials included! Alcohol ink can safely be lit on fire to deepen the colors and create interesting effects. This class is for ages 10+. We will create a beautiful stained glass effect with fire on a framed piece that the students can take home. All materials included!
