Join us for a fun and creative workshop where you will learn how to make soy candles in beautiful vintage or antique containers. These natural, vegan, phthalate-free, plant-based soy wax handmade candles not only make stunning gifts but also bring a cozy retro charm to your space! Bring a friend and byob! We provide all tools and materials and complimentary hot tea to enjoy during the workshop.
What to expect:
A unique aesthetic! Upon your arrival, you can pick your one-of-a-kind vintage or antique vessel to serve as your candle holder...giving your creation a distinctive and elegant touch.
A choice of scents! Personalize your candle with your favorite fragrance from a variety of options. Blend seasonal essential oils to create your perfect scent.
Hand's on experience! Follow a simple step-by-step process to create your candle, including choosing the wick, melting and mixing soy wax, and carefully pouring it into your vessel.
Perfect for gift-giving! Your handmade vintage candle will be a thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift or keepsake for yourself!
This workshop is from 10:30-12:00, upstairs at the Free Range Art Studio located in The Carriage House Collective at 381 Brinton Lake Road, Thornton, PA.
Your candle might need additional time to solidify. We will make the candles available for pickup an hour after the workshop ends if you'd like to factor that into your day.

This workshop is taught by artist, Heather Carey, who comes to our studio with a degree in fine art and 25+ years teaching a multitude of art classes and art therapy. She is a co-teacher for our "Young Creators" program, and is well-respected as an animal portrait artist as well as teaches our watercolor pets and homes workshops. Heather can't wait to see YOU in the studio!
