Adult Workshop! Stone & Soil: Crafting Hypertufa Planters: 4/23

Adult Workshop! Stone & Soil: Crafting Hypertufa Planters: 4/23

Step into the world of creativity and sustainability with this fun, hands-on workshop where you'll craft unique, lightweight planters using hypertufa - a material that beautifully mimics natural stone. Perfect for enhancing your garden, deck, or patio, these planters are as functional as they are eye-catching!

In this class, you’ll:

Learn the art of hypertufa, inspired by traditional English stone troughs.

Explore mold techniques: casting a planting trough inside a mold.

Leave with a stunning planter—one to take home spreading a little greenery for all to enjoy.

No experience is necessary! All materials and tools are provided, and our artisan, Heather, will guide you every step of the way.  Everyone will go home with a newfound skill and the instructions and knowledge to make these at home.  You will learn proportions of mixing materials, timing, ratios, and how to mold your trough the best way!

Bring your friends for a creative escape (or gather a group of five or more to schedule a private class at your convenience.)

Let your imagination bloom as you create planters that will last for years while learning about their history and excellent drainage qualities. A planted hypertufa trough is like a miniature garden, showcasing textures, colors, and heights in perfect harmony.

Join us for a workshop of fun, learning, and making something truly special on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6:30 pm!  Doors open at 6 pm.  This is a messy workshop and SO much fun. We will provide gloves but suggest you wear clothing that could potentially get messy. Your planters will be able to be taken home at the end of the workshop and can be popped out of their molds in 48 hours. They continue to harden and are best for planting in about 21 days. Perfect for Spring planting and brightening up your home!
