Spring Break!  Growing Art: A Plant-Inspired Creative Workshop 🌱
Friday, March 27 | 2:00–4:30 PM | Ages 5–15
 
No school or a half day? Have your kids join us for a creative, hands-on afternoon celebrating plants, color, and texture! Growing Art is a plant-infused art workshop designed for kids, with just the right balance of color, texture, and creative independence. 
 
Throughout the workshop, students will explore a variety of exciting art processes, including:
 
Water-marbling a white ceramic pot with swirling, colorful designs
Needle-felting a succulent or cactus, creating a soft, sculptural plant to place inside their pot
Adding beads to a knotted jute plant hanger, adding texture and personal style
Creating a bold, collaged artwork with plants as the main subject, using layered papers, patterns, and paint
 
Younger artists will receive plenty of hands-on assistance and encouragement, while older kids can enjoy the independence they crave - making creative choices, experimenting with materials, and working at their own pace with support nearby.
Plants bring new life, warmth, and energy to a space, and as the days slowly grow lighter and warmer, this workshop is the perfect way to embrace greenery and growth. Expect an afternoon filled with earthy materials, rich textures, vibrant color, and imaginative artmaking.
 
Students will leave with multiple finished projects and a unique plant creation to brighten their space.
