Summer Camp. Small Classes. Super Fun!

Week 4:  "Fabulous Farm to Fiber: Bringing history alive through functional, bespoke art & handcrafts"!  We will learn how wool is taken from an animal and spun into yarn by watching our artisan, Farren, spin wool for us.  Farren specializes in all things squishy and wool. She is passionate about teaching sustainable and accessible art and finds inspiration in our bountiful natural world. She loves to source fiber from local farms including her own Corriedale sheep and will bring 2 unique afternoons of wool and felting to the kids! The kids will make items such as wet-felted bowls, candles, and other handcrafted and functional art.  We will work with clay, wood burning tools, metal, and leather to complete projects during this week of exploration and art.   Does your child love a good mystery?  We will tackle a treasure hunt by the historid water wheel and pan for gold and gems in this week of historical adventures.  Unplugging is so important to our creative souls and this week is all about hand tools, exploring, and fabricating art from our found treasures in historical ways.

Free Range Art's Summer Camp offers a unique opportunity for children ages 6-12 to work with local artists and outdoor educators to make art and explore nature. Give the children in your life an unforgettable summer experience exploring ideas, getting messy in the studio and creek, making art, and having a ton of FUN.  Please scroll down to select your week(s) and how many children per week.  Camps are $399/child per week.  Please see refund policy and notify us in writing of any food or animal allergies at freerangeartclasses@gmail.com.  We will email a health form prior to camp.  Drop off and pick up will be expedited for your convenience with a car line in the main parking lot.  Drop off begins at 8:50.

We have reserved and held specific spot(s) for your child(ren) which others might have filled.  In the event that you need to cancel or transfer to another week, we will do our best to accommodate switching weeks for you when possible.  However, if the situation arises that a camp week needs to be canceled our policy is below:

If you cancel on or before April 1st 2025, you will receive a refund minus a $100 fee for each week and child that you are canceling. If you cancel between April 2, 2025 and June 1st 2025, you will receive a 50% refund for each week and child that you are canceling. After June 1st there are no refunds.

Make-ups: There are no make-ups or refunds for missed camp days for any reason.

We are a small business striving to make a difference in our local community.  As hard as it is for us to not refund full payments, we've made every effort to keep our class sizes manageable and to provide our campers with a personalized experience with a low camper-to-instructor ratio.  We hope you understand and make every effort to ensure that your child(ren) can attend the week(s) you selected.  We've reserved a spot for them and cannot wait to share the experience with them!
