Stars, Stripes & Stuffies: America’s 250th Birthday Mini Camp! Wed. 6/17 10-2:00
June 17th! From 10-2:00, it's a mini camp! Our "Stars, Stripes, & Stuffies" Mini Camp is the perfect art workshop for kids who want an in-depth creative experience without a full week of camp.
During this special workshop, children ages 5–11 will choose either a sweet cow or goat stuffed animal to bring to life. Each animal arrives unstuffed, and campers will fill their new friend, make a wish on a satin heart, tuck it inside, and help seal it up. Then, they’ll dress their new patriotic pal in adorable stars and stripes overalls.
The celebration continues with a full lineup of unique patriotic studio projects. Campers will paint a patriotic canvas beach bag, bead a festive red, white, and blue bracelet, and create their own painted artwork inspired by rural farm animals and the spirit of America’s big birthday. Paintings will be created using Brusho watercolor crystals (to create fireworks in the sky) and a mix of acrylic paints for the farm animals. Kids will be challenged to think outside the box when creating this mixed-media art! The studio will be arranged in "stations" so that if your child enjoys one project more than another, he/she can choose to work longer on that particular project and skip another if they'd prefer. Giving freedom to their creative minds!
This mini camp is designed to feel joyful, creative, and memorable - a perfect summer day filled with hands-on art, keepsake projects, and plenty of Free Range fun.
Kids can dive deep into our immersive art experience from 10-2:00, and we will introduce them to a wonderful variety of art materials and skills. Pack a peanut-free lunch and send your kids on a fun journey into a patriotic art experience!
