Adult Rustic Garden Planter Workshop: Wed. April 29th 6:30-8:30
Adult Garden Planter Workshop! Wednesday, April 29th 6:30-8:30 pm
In this hands-on class for adults, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind garden planter from scratch using a traditional, time-tested recipe. We’ll guide you through the mixing, molding, and shaping process, and all unique supplies will be provided. Each finished piece is designed to age beautifully and be enjoyed for years to come.
In this class, you’ll:
Learn the art of hypertufa, inspired by traditional English stone troughs.
Explore mold techniques: casting a planter inside a mold.
Leave with a stunning planter - one to take home spreading a little greenery for all to enjoy.
*This workshop is for constructing the planter. It does not include any plants!
No experience is necessary! All materials and tools are provided, and our artisan, Heather, will guide you every step of the way. Everyone will go home with a newfound skill and the instructions and knowledge to make these at home. You will learn proportions of mixing materials, timing, ratios, and how to mold your planter the best way!
Bring your friends for a creative escape (or gather a group of 6 or more to schedule a private class at your convenience.)
This is a messy workshop and SO much fun. We will provide gloves but suggest you wear clothing that could potentially get messy. Your planters will be able to be taken home at the end of the workshop and can be popped out of their molds in 48 hours. They continue to harden and are best for planting live plants in about 21 days. Can be used for artificial plants in about 2 weeks! Perfect for Spring planting and brightening up your home, deck, or garden!
