What is Clay Handbuilding?

Clay handbuilding is an ancient pottery technique that involves forming clay using only your hands and a few simple tools. The three main techniques—coiling, slab building, and pinch pottery—open up a world of exciting possibilities. Whether you’re a beginner or just looking to get your hands dirty in a fun, creative way, this workshop is for you!

✅ You’ll hand-build your piece with guidance from Terri

✅ Choose your glaze colors from a variety of beautiful finishes

✅ Your piece will dry, then be bisque fired, glazed, and fired again

✅ Ready for pickup at the Free Range Art Studio in 3 weeks!

Price includes: materials, instruction, glazing, and both firings!

Doors open at 9:45 am and this workshop lasts 2-3 hours depending upon factors such as your experience level and intricacy of project. Feel free to bring a snack!
