Adults! Painting with Coffee Workshop! Wed, Jan. 14th 6:30-8:30
It's time for our free seasonal adult workshop! Join us at the studio for a free event as Tracy Taylor teaches the history, materials, and techniques for painting with coffee! The first coffee paintings were made centuries ago, as the brown beverage began to colonize Europe. Why paint with coffee? The best and most straightforward reason to paint with coffee is that it's fun! There are, however, additional advantages worth noting: It's unique: Works of art created using coffee as paint immediately tell a unique story. So who says coffee is only good for drinking? It’s now good for painting too.
Join us as we dive into this new and fun process of creating paintings using coffee. Do you have something personal that you'd like to paint with coffee? Maybe a pet, a historic building, an old car, or even something like a special tree, an heirloom, or a favorite flower? Personalize your coffee art by emailing Tracy a photo of something that's special to you, and she will lightly sketch it ahead of time, allowing you to focus on the many different techniques and layers of painting with coffee. The doors open at 6:15 and we are byo food/drink. The workshop is 6:30-8:30 and all materials are included! Please limit the number of spots you reserve to 2 people at a time.
