Adults! Handcraft a Silver Wave Ring: Thursday, July 16th 6:00-9:00PM
Adult Workshop: Handcraft a Sterling Silver Wave Ring! Thursday, July 16th 6-9:00 pm...
Join us for a summer evening at The Free Range Art Studio and handcraft your very own sterling silver wave ring! This beginner-friendly workshop is designed for adults who are curious about jewelry-making, love handmade jewelry, or simply want to enjoy a creative night out.
Guided step by step by Master Artisan, Hali MacLaren, of HKM Jewelry, participants will learn the basics of working with sterling silver using a variety of traditional jeweler’s tools and techniques. Hali is a skilled metalsmith and a wonderfully patient instructor who makes the process approachable, informative, and fun - even if you’ve never worked with metal before.
Throughout the evening, you’ll learn about ring sizing, sawing, soldering, forming, texturing, and finishing as you create a beautiful sterling silver wave ring to wear home. Come on your own or register with a friend for a hands-on, memorable night of learning, laughter, and creativity.
For safety, please wear sneakers or boots, tie back long hair, and avoid loose-fitting clothing in the studio. Byob is allowed after the torch process has completed. Doors open at 5:45...
“I create handmade jewelry that is inspired by the sea, to spread awareness about its importance and beauty. Each piece is uniquely created and designed to last for generations. Growing up, I spent every summer in the water and sands of the Jersey coast. My collection of shells and other sea treasures is extensive, taking up almost every inch of space in my studio, and home.
In silver and gold, I fabricate, carve and have cast using traditional metalsmithing techniques and unconventional objects from the Atlantic shoreline. My skills come from a BFA in Jewelry and a minor in Photography from The University of the Arts in 2014. After graduating, I built a studio in West Chester and began my HKM Jewelry line inspired by nautical themes.”

How to Find Us!
Some people say we're a "hidden gem", and we kind of like that! We're close in proximity to major roads and some of the area's best shopping/dining, yet we are right off of some of the most beautiful rural roads in the southeastern PA area. We are located at 381 Brinton Lake Road, Thornton, PA 19373.
We are located behind the historic Mill (the Offices at the Mill). When you enter the parking lot, immediately turn right and go behind the main building. We are a short drive down the gravel lane and are in the smaller "Carriage House Collective" building behind the main building. We are on the 2nd floor!
Our studio is up the exterior staircase and is byo food/drink! We can't wait to welcome you to our cozy space!
