Kids' Gift Making Art Workshop! Sun. Dec 21st 12:30-4:30

Kids Holiday Gift-Making Workshop!
Sunday, December 21 • 12:30 - 4:30 pm

Give your kids a fun Holiday afternoon making art with us, and they'll come home with handmade gifts they’ll be proud to give! In this special holiday workshop at the Free Range Art Studio, kids ages 8 and up will rotate through a variety of challenging and creative stations and make unique, high-quality presents for family and friends.  Their beautiful art will be treasured for years to come!

We’re also thrilled to welcome special guest artisan Sherri from Botanical Bubbles, who will guide these lucky students through crafting their own handmade natural lip balms and hand-painted festive holiday soaps. In addition, young makers can choose from a menu of projects such as illuminated wooden holiday art, mini painted canvases, resin jewelry, polymer clay ornaments, needle felting, a stuffed animal, and more!  The projects have been chosen to challenge the kids and to also provide a beautiful finished product.

This small-group workshop is limited to 8 students to ensure plenty of individual attention and creative support. Pizza and a sweet treat are included, so kids can relax, create, and enjoy an afternoon of holiday fun.  Let us handle the crafting messes and keep your kids busy for 4 wonderful hours!

Please email us if your child has a food allergy we should be aware of: freerangeartclasses@gmail.com

  • About the Teachers/Artists:

    • Tracy Taylor, the artist who founded the Free Range Art Studio, uses her years of teaching experience and her design degree to bring art to all ages.  In addition to the kids and teens workshops, the homeschool art classes, and private art parties, Tracy teaches some pretty amazing adult art workshops!  She has a love of alcohol inks, polymer clay, jewlery crafting, and coffee painting to name a few.  Tracy grew up in Thornton, but now resides in Unionville with her family and random mix of pets - which includes a pot bellied pig named Lulu!  Tracy's background and love of art and teaching create the perfect storm of colors, paints, messes, and experimentation at the Free Range Art Studio!
  • How to Find Us!

Some people say we're a "hidden gem", and we kind of like that!  We're close in proximity to major roads and some of the area's best shopping/dining, yet we are right off of some of the most beautiful rural roads in the southeastern PA area.  We are located at 381 Brinton Lake Road, Thornton, PA 19373

We are located behind the historic Mill (the Offices at the Mill).  When you enter the parking lot, immediately turn right and go behind the main building.  We are a short drive down the gravel lane and are in the smaller "Carriage House Collective" building behind the main building.  We are on the 2nd floor!

Our studio is up the exterior staircase and is byo food/drink!  We can't wait to welcome you to our cozy space!

  • Special Artisan!

Sherri Jarvis (Owner of Botanical Bubbles) will be teaching a portion of this workshop and sharing her love of natural skincare!  Sherri brings her skills to the Free Range Art Studio when she teaches our adult cold process soap making, her fire cider classes, lip balms, natural lotions, and bath bombs.

For this particular gift-making workshop, Sherri will guide the kids through making their own lip balms and using natural scents and flavors.  In addition, she will teach them how to handpaint some holiday soaps with mica.  It is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
