About Heather Carey
Heather shares her love of life and art while teaching at the Free Range Art Studio. From children to adults, Heather brings her love of teaching to everyone she meets. With 25+ years teaching art to special needs adults, working as an art therapist, being an accomplished pet portrait artist, and holding a degree in fine arts, Heather's background explains her teaching style: compassionate, thorough, and skilled. Her energy shines through while elbow deep in mud mixtures, pouring hot candles, rolling out paint on gel plates, or adding fine line details to an animal portrait. When you experience a workshop with Heather, you know that you will be guided by someone that cares and that has the knowledge to lead you through any artistic challenges you might encounter.
Heather is so excited to bring this series of workshops to our community. To be able to meet up with other adults while doing all of the art plus crafts, well, it's a win/win!
