1-Day Folk Art Workshop with Casey Orr! Join us for a hands-on workshop celebrating the vibrant tradition of Pennsylvania Dutch hex signs - colorful circular designs featuring floral and geometric motifs, each one as unique as its maker!
In this full-day adult workshop, artist, photographer, and world explorer Casey Orr will guide participants through designing and painting their own decorative 24" wooden hex sign. All materials, a wooden circular piece, paints - plus a traditional Pennsylvania lunch are included! Enjoy a relaxed Pennsylvania-inspired grazing lunch as you paint, featuring chicken salad on croissants, pulled pork on potato rolls, a charcuterie board, fresh seasonal fruit, and whoopie pies. Feel free to enjoy the lunch provided throughout the day, or you're welcome to bring your own lunch if you prefer.

About Casey Orr:
Casey Orr is a Pennsylvania born artist. She is a hex sign painter and photographer who teaches workshops in the UK and USA. Casey has lived in the UK for over 30 years working on a variety of commissions and personal projects. Her work has taken her across the North Atlantic Ocean by containership, throughout the USA, UK and Europe, behind the walls of HMP Leeds Prison, and into the lives of the many people she collaborates with through photographic portraiture. Casey loves to share her lifelong fascination with hex signs and is excited to share this meditative and relaxing craft through the workshop.
