Tween/Teen Winter Needle Felting Workshop! Tues. Dec 9th 5:30-7:45
Winter Scenes in Needle-felting!
Our Tween/Teen Art Night is perfect for kids ages 10+. (No experience is necessary, but yet those with more experience in art are encouraged to move forward and experiment and are given the freedom to grow.)
On Tuesday, 12/9/25, we will be working with wools and needle felting to make these one-of-a kind winter worlds! If your tween/teen hasn't tried needle felting yet, this is a not-to-be-missed opportunity to get REALLY creative with it! Boys, girls, it doesn't matter - they love this art form.
Moving beyond the basic intro to needle-felting, we will teach the tweens and teens how to make 3D objects in their choice of vessel: a tin box, teacup, wood container...their choice!
They can create any scene they'd like, but we will show them how to form 3D shapes and how to attach them to a base and complete their vision. Needle felting is a unique art form where the students poke at wool using a needle with barbs. We teach them how to use it safely, efficiently, and to embrace the repetitive nature of it and watch how it turns loose wool into structures and shapes right before their eyes!
Doors open at 5:30 and kids are welcome to bring their dinner and eat in the studio. This evening class is open to all students ages 10 and up and we encourage older teens to attend! There is no upper age limit. Again, this is an instructional class with guidance and as-needed/friendly support to help immerse your tween/teen in different art mediums and techniques but not feel like "school". We look forward to seeing your tweens/teens and working with them!
