Monday, October 12th: School's Out!  It's a fun day of art and creativity!

Kids Trick, Treat, & CREATE Halloween Workshop!  Ages 6-12 | 10-2:00 (Pack a lunch)

Get ready for a spooktacular day of creativity and fun! Kids will make their own clay ghost (to use as a "candle" nightlight), paint a personalized trick-or-treat canvas bag  (perfect for Halloween night!), and create a cute pom-pom ghostie accessory to decorate their treat bag or backpack.   In addition to all that, we'll have a couple of surprise projects along the way for those who want to embark on an even spookier art-venture!  We'll fill the day with Halloween-inspired art, crafts, and plenty of creative freedom! Come ready to paint, create, and get a little spooky!

Pack a nut-free lunch and a drink.  Please notify us if your child(ren) have a food allergy we should be aware of.  We will have a light Halloween-themed snack, too!

We're very excited about this one!  We can't wait for everyone to meet our newest artist, Sara!!

  • Sara Przytulski is a self-taught artist based in Chester County, Pennsylvania. She began painting in 2021 and has since developed a vibrant, intuitive style inspired by nature, emotion, memory, and the little moments of magic found in everyday life. Working primarily in acrylic, Sara creates semi-abstract landscapes, florals, celestial scenes, and whimsical pieces that often incorporate bold color, texture, and metallic accents.

Sara’s creative practice is rooted in curiosity and allowing each painting to evolve organically rather than striving for perfection. In addition to creating original artwork, she teaches hands-on workshops and shares approachable painting tutorials designed to help others discover the joy of creating. Whether she’s painting, teaching, or experimenting with a new idea, Sara’s goal is to make art feel welcoming, playful, and accessible to everyone.

Tracy Taylor is the artist and educator behind the Free Range Art Studio. With a background in art and design and years of experience teaching students of all ages, Tracy especially loves helping people discover that creativity doesn’t have to be intimidating—or perfect—to be meaningful.

Her hands-on classes are built around exploration, experimentation, and the simple joy of making something with your own two hands. She works with a wide range of traditional and unexpected materials, with particular favorites including alcohol inks, polymer clay, jewelry making, mixed media, and even painting with coffee. Whether she’s teaching children, teens, homeschool students, or adults, Tracy’s goal is to create a relaxed environment where everyone feels comfortable trying something new and developing confidence in their own creative abilities.

Tracy grew up in Thornton and now lives in Unionville with her family and an ever-changing assortment of pets - including Lulu, a pot-bellied pig. That same sense of curiosity and playfulness finds its way into the studio, where a little mess, a lot of experimenting, and plenty of creative freedom are always welcome.

  • Some people say we're a "hidden gem", and we kind of like that!  We're close in proximity to major roads and some of the area's best shopping/dining, yet we are right off of some of the most beautiful rural roads in the southeastern PA area.  We are located at 381 Brinton Lake Road, Thornton, PA 19373.

We are located behind the historic Mill (the Offices at the Mill).  When you enter the parking lot, immediately turn right and go behind the main building.  We are a short drive down the gravel lane and are in the smaller "Carriage House Collective" building behind the main building.  We are on the 2nd floor!

Our studio is up the exterior staircase and is byo food/drink!  We can't wait to welcome you to our cozy space!
